Hello,
My roommate and I are both planning on being gone for the summer. We are looking to sublease our apartment and we wanted to look for some girls to take over our spots. We live at Jefferson West, which is on Rio Grande in between 26th and 28th streets. We live in a 3-bedroom apartment with three other(currently sophomore) girls who are going to stay in the apartment this summer. They are all great girls and are very involved in the UT community.
My current roommate and I share a room together as well as a bathroom. The rooms are very large...they will come unfurnished, but to describe the size of the room: (we each have a full size bed, a desk, and a dresser, and still have lots of room leftover.) The apartment also comes with amenities such as: a free tanning bed, workout facility, and swimming pool.
The room amenities include free wireless access, washer and dryer, a 42’’ plasma screen TV, and full kitchen appliances. The rent is $490.00 a month per person…we’re flexible on move-in dates, but preferably halfway through May or the beginning of June. (Cable and Electricity are not included but are pretty cheap.)
Basically, each side of the room rents out for $490.00 a month. If you would like only one half of the room, you would be able to just rent that one particular side and if we are unable to sublease the other side of the room, you would not have to pay for the other half. Or, if you would like the whole room that is possible too. I hope this makes sense!
Anyway, Jefferson West is a great apartment and would be a great place to live for the summer! It would also be great if you and a friend were looking to live together! It's a close walk to everywhere on campus as well as a convenient location for the Downtown EBUS and West Campus bus stops!
