Description:
We have a 3 bedroom apartment and we're looking for a 3rd roommate. Our last roommate has decided it's time for her to move, so we need someone for their room. Immediate move in. Right now, the apartment is two guys. We are very open to either a guy or a girl coming in. I am in my mid-30's, and the other guy is in his 40's. Rent is $749/mo with a $600 deposit and includes all utilities. ---------------------------------------- About us: I am a self-employed dog walker and pet sitter. What this means for you a few things: - I am home a lot of the day - You need to be pet friendly, especially with dogs - You need to not have a dog of your own - we have permission to board dogs from the landlord, but not to have a permanent one. Dogs will stay here often anywhere from 1 day to 2 weeks, usually around 3-5 nights on average. I am careful about who I bring in, so I don't tend to board aggressive dogs, but that doesn't mean I won't board large dogs. Having someone around who loves dog will be both a plus for you and for our clients. I also tend to be the resident geek - I know quite a bit about computers and electronics and can usually be helpful for things of that nature. I also do not tend to have a lot of people over, and generally it's only one person when I do. Overnight guests are perfectly fine. As far as having people over, I have no problem with social gatherings at all, but if you are planning on having regular "frat parties", this might not be the best place for you. I tend to almost never have social functions at the house, so it would be rare that something might conflict. If something were to get out of hand once in a blue moon, okay, that happens. I would just prefer that any "parties" are kept to a quiet minimum. The other roommate is a real estate agent/actor. Fairly clean, smart guy. --------------------------------------------------- About the room: It's pretty big. It's about 10.5' x 13' (approximate, because it's not a perfect square due to the shape of the building), so it's a nice sized room with a very large (about 6'x4') closet. You would share the bathroom with the other roommate, and it also serves as a guest bathroom. My bathroom is connected to my room, so you don't have to worry about me using it. ------------------------------------------------------ About the apartment: It's pretty nice sized and is currently pretty well furnished. We have a big living room, dining room, and a good kitchen. Realistically, you really wouldn't have to being much with you if you don't want to. When I moved here, I had previously moved from a 2 bedroom apartment living by myself, so when I came in I was able to pretty fully furnish out the place. That said, if you have furniture of your own that you want to move in, let's discuss. This will be all of our place and I want to make sure whomever moves in feel very comfortable in their new home. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a nice counter top stove. There is a washer and dryer on premise, but not in the apartment. This apartment doesn't have W/D hookups either. If it did, I would have brought mine with me. Parking is street parking. It can be rough at times, but not usually too bad - just maybe on street sweeping days. Utilities include electric, gas, and internet. We have AT&T U-Verse, so it's very good internet. We're debating turning the TV service back on. If you're interested, we can discuss it and adjust rent accordingly. --------------------------------------------------- About you: I'm not looking for a lot in a roommate over and beyond what I've already said. - Pet friendly. I reiterate this, because if you don't like dogs in general, or you don't like the idea of having a bunch of different dogs around, this might be a problem. My guideline is to never have more than 3, and oftentimes they will hang out with me in my room, though that doesn't mean you're not allowed to snag the cute ones and have them hang out with you. They are ultimately my responsibility, but you are welcome to be as involved or not involved as you like. - No smoking on premise. I *might* consider patio tobacco smoking, but greatly prefer not. Everything else is not allowed on premise, including marijuana, medical or other. There are allergies and pets to consider here. - Responsible and pays bills on time. Yeah, I know, that's cliché to say, but the last thing I want in here is financial drama. There is absolutely no credit check when you come in. There isn't even really an application, even though I'll get some information on you. The only check will be us meeting each other and determining if you're not the right person. - Relatively drama free. Yeah, another cliché. We all have some drama in our lives, let's just not have it be overwhelming and start affecting the other roommates. We have lives. We'll talk about it. Just don't let your drama become my drama. That's really it. We're pretty easy going here and just looking for a good roommate who will be a great fit. If you think you're the right person, please e-mail back with a little about yourself and a phone number you can be contacted at. Submissions without a phone number will not be considered - I will just assume they are spam. I will get in contact with you to schedule a viewing.
