Description:
$850 ♥ Room for Rent in charming house near Beverly Center ===== THE ROOM WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR MOVE-IN ON DECEMBER 1ST, 2012 ===== BUILT IN 1926, this charming vintage home has wood floors, artwork on white walls, french windows and a bright atmosphere. It is surrounded by big beautiful trees which provide year-round shade for the enclosed back patio. The 1940's-style kitchen has vintage appliances (see photos) along with modern appliances - microwave oven, toaster oven, coffee maker and a second refrigerator. (Tenants get full use of the kitchen and all appliances.) THE BEDROOM FOR RENT has french-window doors which open to the front porch and bring plenty of light into the room. There is also a side-window. It has wood floors, white walls, a ceiling fan and a walk-in closet. The bedroom includes a fast DSL internet connection, cable TV, bolt-lock on the bedroom door and a security alarm. You are welcome to decorate and furnish the bedroom any way you like. (The bedroom has white-painted plaster walls, which require a little extra attention when hanging pictures.) Dimensions for this bedroom are approximately 11' x 13'. ===== THE ROOM WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR MOVE-IN ON DECEMBER 1ST, 2012 ===== PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE LISTING !!! --- This listing contains a thorough description of my home, the bedroom for rent and the rental details. There is also information about myself and the person renting one of the bedrooms (it is a three-bedroom house). There are basic, practical questions for you to answer at the end of the listing. If you are interested in seeing the room, PLEASE REPLY WITH YOUR ANSWERS TO THE QUESTIONS BELOW. This helps me make sure the room might be a good choice for you BEFORE we set up an appointment. This can save a LOT of time for everyone. A reply from you with your answers to these basic questions will be given priority over other replies without answers. (Thanks!) I am offering one bedroom for rent in my pleasant Spanish-style three-bedroom home, very close to Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. I live in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, just a short walk to Melrose Avenue, with its trend-setting fashion shops. My home is also walking distance to numerous superb restaurants, the antique-furniture stores on La Cienega Boulevard and a vibrant community of small theatres. If you lived here you would be a short drive (or a long stroll) to The Beverly Center, The Grove, Farmer's Market, The Pacific Design Center and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. You would be 20 minutes drive to UCLA. This is a perfect location for anyone who works in Hollywood, West Hollywood or Beverly Hills. BUS RIDERS: We are strategically located in short walking distance to various bus stops: - Melrose and Fairfax - Melrose and Kilkea - Melrose and La Cienega - Santa Monica and Fairfax - Santa Monica and La Jolla - Melrose and Fairfax bus takes you directly to the subway at Hollywood & Highland BATHROOM: There is one shared bathroom in the house, always kept neat and clean, just a step away from the bedrooms. It is vented for fresh air and neatly appointed. YOU WILL HAVE ACCESS TO ALL OF THE COMMON AREAS OF THE HOUSE, including the living room, dining room, kitchen, bathroom, laundry room and back patio. STREET PARKING: This is a permit-parking district, so there is always plenty of convenient parking on the street right in front of my house, just a few steps from the front door. When you move in, I will lend you a temporary parking permit or you can purchase a 6-month parking sticker for your car. You may also use one parking space on the front of my driveway for loading and unloading. NON-SMOKING ONLY! (No just-outside or social smokers, please.) PETS: Sorry --- No pets. No dogs. (Not even little teeny purse-dogs). No cats. Aquarium fish or caged birds are welcome. (I love animals, but they are just not practical here. You might see our neighborhood raccoon, though!) PLEASE NOTE: There are three bedrooms in the house. I live here and I rent out two of the bedrooms, so there will be a total of three (3) people living here when the available bedroom is rented. In other words, if you rented the room, you would be the third person. ABOUT ME: I am a working actor, acting coach and spoken-word performer with a side-interest in science and technology. I am a creative, busy, healthy, humorous, progressive, practical, environmentally-conscious male in my early 50's. ABOUT THE OTHER RENTER: The current tenant is trained as a chef and works at various restaurants and food-service companies in the area. He is also a legit musical theatre performer. He is personable, courteous and tends to be quiet when at home. He is also an excellent roommate with a great sense of humor. An encouraging, supportive, creative vibe is maintained here as we all pursue success in our various careers... I am SEEKING A GOOD-NATURED, RESPONSIBLE, CLEAN, CAREER-ORIENTED, NON-SMOKING person to rent the available bedroom! Professional types welcome. Creative types welcome. College students welcome. Vegans welcome. Vegetarians welcome. Omnivores welcome. INFO FOR VEGANS & VEGETARIANS: I eat a standard-but-healthy American diet, with some recipes that do include lean meat. The current tenant, who is a trained chef, occasionally cooks with raw meat. Various pre-cooked meats are present in the kitchen (such as sliced turkey, beef soup, etc.). Your diet can be whatever you like --- this is just to let you know what kinds of food are here. (There is always chocolate somewhere in the house, too...) RENT INCLUDES ALL BASIC UTILITIES including water, electricity and gas. Cable TV and internet access are also provided. HOW MUCH WILL IT COST TO MOVE IN ??? FIRST MONTH RENT + LAST MONTH RENT + ROOM DEPOSIT = $1950 total (850 + 850 + 250 = $1950 total) Rental term is month-to-month. Your move-in payment can be split up over the first two or three months, to make it easier. You will receive your room deposit back in full when you move out, if the room is still in excellent condition. The room is available for long-term or short-term rental (3-month minimum, please). ===== THE ROOM WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR MOVE-IN ON DECEMBER 1ST, 2012 ===== ------------------ REQUIRED INFORMATION -------------------- In your response, please tell us a little about yourself: (COPY-AND-PASTE THESE QUESTIONS INTO YOUR RESPONSE) 1.
