Description: |
I am renting out a room in my beautiful house in west knoxville. The interior of the house is newly redone with carpet, paint, fixtures, and appliances. There is a front porch, back deck and fenced in yard, storage space in the attic, and a fireplace.
I am a graduate student in physics at the university and I also work at Oak Ridge. I am friendly and clean. I would like to rent to a graduate student (or professional our age) who will respect the property and the other two residents of the house. You should be friendly and easy to get along with in a shared space situation. The other tenant of the house is a female graduate student in nuclear engineering.
Upstairs, there is a shared bathroom and washer/dryer, next to the bedrooms. We have very high-speed wireless and central air. There is also a half bathroom next to the living room. Downstairs, there is a very nice kitchen with granite countertops, an island, and I have a small 4-person table in the bay window. I have quite a lot of kitchen stuff since I like to cook. I would expect you to do your dishes and keep the kitchen in a clean state.
I have couches, coffee tables, and bookshelves for the living room. There is no TV (but you are welcome to bring one), and if you require cable we can work that out. The dining room is empty as I have not yet bought a large dining room table for it.
The location of the house is very convenient. It is about five minutes away from West Town Mall and quite a lot of shopping. There are several bus stops nearby, as well as a fire station and an elementary school. UT is about 15 minutes East, and Oak Ridge is about 30 minutes West. The neighborhood is safe (we live next to a sheriff), quiet, and secluded. There is a very large, nice park right next to our house, with a bike path, tennis courts, and lots of trees and grass.
